On Friday, October 7, 10 former 6V-students were welcomed back to school to receive their well-earned English IB: Language and Literature certificates.
The hosts, Ms Driece and Mr Simkens treated the proud WL alumni to an interesting program consisting of speeches and a presentation that showed why IB students are excellently equipped to deal with the analysis and explanation of current-day events in the news and in English works of literature.
Despite their absence both former WL colleague / IB-teacher Marina Philippa and student Myrthe Vrancken, put in a surprise visit. Ms Philippa had sent in an inspirational video message for her old group and Myrthe was able to follow the graduation ceremony ‘live’ through Skype from her au pair-address in Paris.
Students who have been awarded with the IB-certificate for English A: Language and Literature are:
- Nini van Aalst
- Carolijn Coolen
- Louse Foppen
- Noortje Harms
- Quint van Loosen
- Imke Remijn
- Myrthe Vrancken
- Koen Wijsman
- Stijn Wijsman
- Reinier Zwart
Once again, congratulations!
