Wolfert Bilingual and the Rotterdam International Secondary School (RISS) are the exclusive training centres for World Teachers. The World Teachers Programme arose out of the need to find excellent teachers to work at our school. Wolfert Bilingual and the Leiden University Teacher Training Centre (ICLON) have set up an intensive collaborative project to train bilingual and international teachers. Only highly motivated candidates are considered for the World Teachers Programme.
In addition, Wolfert Bilingual is also part of the Academic Training School Rotterdam (OSR) programme. Working together with the school teaching staff, the student teachers and students from the school carry out investigations. The topic can be related either to education or a school subject. A large number of the investigations carried out by teaching staff researchers from Wolfert Bilingual have been published internationally in the IB Journal of Teaching Practice. It is particularly worthy of note that the final exam project (profielwerkstuk) written by two Wolfert Bilingual vwo students has also been published internationally.
