Uiteindelijk kwalificeerden de leerlingen zich voor de regionale finales in Den Haag en streden de trefballers om een felbegeerde plek in de landelijke finales op vrijdag 9 juni in Papendal en werden ze Nederlands kampioen Dodgeball. Een fantastische prestatie van de sportieve leerlingen van het Wolfert Lyceum: <strong>Eline, Kyano, Marius, Nouria, Rick, Soha, Taha, Thomas en Victor<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Op het Wolfert Lyceum organiseren ze veel uitdagende sportactiviteiten onder schooltijd, maar ook na schooltijd. Zo wordt elk schooljaar de Olympic Moves gehouden en iedere Wolfert Lyceum leerling kan zich hiervoor inschrijven. Het werven van de leerlingen begint al in november. In die tijd kunnen docenten LO (lichamelijke opvoeding) hun teams inschrijven voor deelname aan de Olympic Moves. Om een selectie te maken, houden veel scholen een toernooi of training. In 18 verschillende sporten wordt er tijdens regionale finales door 27.000 middelbare scholieren gestreden om een felbegeerde plek in The School Final. De ruim 6.000 overgebleven \u00adfinalisten gaan deze dag de uitdaging met elkaar aan om het kampioenschap voor scholen. Een dag samen vol sport en plezier! Het motto van deze Olympische dag is plezier beleven door te sporten met elkaar; \u2018deelnemen is net zo belangrijk als winnen\u2019! Door de juiste mix van sport, show en entertainment sluit Olympic Moves perfect aan op de behoeften en beleving van jongeren.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Door Olympic Moves krijgen middelbare scholieren de kans om kennis te maken met diverse sporten en het plezier hiervan te beleven. In een sfeer van Olympische waarden en passend bij de belevingswereld van jongeren kunnen zij zich via Olympic Moves fysiek, maar ook sociaal verder ontwikkelen. Er doen ruim 350 middelbare scholen aan mee, wat bijna de helft is van alle middelbare scholen in Nederland. Uit onderzoek blijkt dat het programma jongeren enthousiast houdt voor sport en hen &#8211; door samen te sporten &#8211; onvergetelijke en fijne momenten bezorgt. Olympic Moves, een initiatief van KVLO en NOC*NSF, is sinds 2003 uitgegroeid tot de grootste schoolsportcompetitie van ons land.
