About RISS
The Rotterdam International Secondary School (RISS), offers the renowned International General Certificate of Education (IGCSE) and the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme leading to entry to universities and institutions of higher learning worldwide.
Our students have been readily accepted to universities and colleges in the United States of America, Canada, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands.
RISS students are generally aged between 11 and 19 years.
The RISS is an affiliate of the Wolfert van Borselen School Group and offers students the opportunity to study in English while experiencing Dutch culture and language through social interaction with their Dutch peers. The dynamics of such social and cultural interaction provides an environment where students can become truly exceptional individuals. The school has state of the art science labs, a mediatheek and theater. (The stage being a valuable tool in the education of our students).
The school has a dedicated EAL resource centre providing specialised training in language skills development.
