Student Activities

RISS encourages students to participate in extra-curricular activities and community service projects. The Netherlands is host to several key Model United Nations conferences and our school sends delegations to 4 or more of these conferences every year.

Cultural trips to museums and theatres are an ideal venue for introducing our students to Dutch culture and we encourage such outings on a regular basis. Field trips and educational visits are considered essential supplements to classroom activities.

The Student Council comprised of representatives elected from each class is an ideal venue for our students to air their points of view about what sort of environment they want in their school. The Student Council is an important part of many traditional celebrations such as the International Food Fair and Festival of Light.

Our Student Council has been honoured by War Child for its fund-raising activities on behalf of their charity. The Student Council also received a Recognition of Merit from the Council of International Schools for their activities!
